PHILOSOPHY OF EDUCATION ST. LOUIS SCHOOL
St. Louis School currently has 128 students enrolled. St. Louis, a parochial school in the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, recognizes and supports the importance of parents as the primary influence in a child’s religious education. The education of our children grows from faith in Jesus Christ and a connection to various parish communities to which our children belong. We believe in emphasizing the development of the whole person and recognizing the dignity, abilities, and gifts of every child. Academic excellence is stressed in all curriculum areas.
Saint Louis School Mission and Belief Statements
Our mission at Saint Louis School is to provide quality religious and academic education, in partnership with parents, which instills Catholic beliefs, focuses on the whole child, nurtures our students and promotes community involvement and service.
Belief Statements
v We believe Christ is the center of our school.
v We believe it is our ministry to teach as Jesus did, and to provide an opportunity to develop Christian values, experiencing them in community and living them out in service.
v We believe that while parents are the primary educators of their children, faculty members, clergy, as well as the parish community must work together to allow students to develop to their fullest potential and become living, growing members of the family of God.
v We believe the school climate should reflect an attitude of respect and partnership with students, parents, teachers, administrators and the parish community.
v We recognize the diverse needs and learning styles of each student and believe a student’s education should involve the whole child and include spiritual, physical, artistic, technological, cultural as well as academic
opportunities.
v We believe that our goal as educators is to prepare students to excel in their current and future academic endeavors.
v We believe we should integrate learning experiences and foster in the student a sense of responsibility, self-discipline, self-esteem and a love of learning.
