It is hard to believe October is already here and autumn is upon us. The coming months always go so quickly and all the holiday activities make the days fly!
The magazine drive is officially over. We thank all of you who have ordered magazines or allowed your children to participate in this fund raiser. The school benefits greatly from your generosity. We would like to particularly thank Mrs. Renee Brown for organizing and overseeing this activity – it is no small job! Please do not forget to pick up your orders of Tervis Cups on November 6. Mrs. Brown will provide an update on rewards when everything is tallied. The Coops be with you!
On October 12 our Kindergarten through Third Grade will get back to nature on a field trip to the Cincinnati Nature Center. The bus will leave at 9:30 a.m. and return by 2:00 p.m. Teachers and students will discover a wealth of autumnal nature treasures while enjoying the great outdoors.
St. Louis School has benefitted from the Kellogg’s Boxtops for Education community outreach for a number of years. Thanks to Jill Zerhusen and Debbie Holderman who have volunteered their valuable time to cut, count and send Kellogg’s boxtop coupons to the company we have been the recipients of their rewards. Each boxtop is worth $.10 for the school.
Our first contest is now going on and the individual students who turn in at least 25 boxtops (40 per family) by the ending date of October 19 will earn an out of uniform day.
Please continue to support our school by clipping your Boxtops for Education Logo and send them to the school office with your preferred student (or just for the school!) Thanks for your support.
St. Louis School is looking forward to a Spooktacular Event on October 31. Parents, Siblings and Grandparents are welcome to watch (or participate) in our annual costume parade beginning at 1:15 p.m. Classroom parties for the students will follow the parade. We are expecting it to be a howling good time for all.
St. Louis Church will offer a blessing to all pets at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday, October 4 under the Peaker Pavillion. Bring your beloved companions for a special touch from God.
