St. Louis School Penny Drive
This year the student Penny Drive raised $705.91 for the Lymphoma Society. The First Grade came in 1st Place and chose icees or ice cream sandwiches as a lunch treat for their efforts.
The school has never been so quiet as when the students participated in the IOWA state testing! All students spent a week (plus) of mornings in concentrated focus on this annual examination. We are all glad to get back to our usual routine.
Focus on the Cross
Our 3rd through 8th Graders had the opportunity to participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Way of the Cross in preparation of our Easter celebration. Spring brings a reminder of life renewed in the budding plants, the birth of wild creatures and especially in the celebration of Easter in which Christ died on the cross and rose to new life in order to offer us a chance at eternal life. What an awesome gift to show God’s totally unselfish love for us.
It’s that time of year! St. Louis School ushered in the baseball season with a “Dress with the Reds Day” on
March 28. All students were given an out of uniform day to wear a Red’s jersey or red shirt with their jeans.
The event continued with a raffle at lunchtime and an end of the day movie. What a great start to Easter Break!
